I need to comment on Michael Newdow. For those that do not know, he is the person who started the lawsuits to take "Under God" out of the Pledge of Alligiance. After reading this guy's history, I officially rule him one of the biggest democrat assholes in the world. He decided that it was his duty to take the Pledge of Alligiance out of the schools because he did not want his daughter, who was not even in his custody (probably for good reason), to hear about religion in a school. He was essentailly attempting to control the influences placed on his child. This is indeed a noble practice, unless a Christian family does it; then it's indoctrination and I am sure that he would be the first to use such loaded language. It just goes to show that often, in an attempt to help minorities, the majority is villianized just for being in the majority. Now the P.C. Police rush in whenever any hint of a slight is made against another religion, but Christians are just told to open their minds. Any person can be close-minded about a religion or anything else; often I find that any extreme is very close-minded, including the extremely liberal who take pride in being open-minded.

Anywho...that was my rant. I hoped I either rallied some to the cause or sparked some clash. Please comment.

Hello people....

Yesterday, after I updated, I played a bit of piano. Something about the european atmosphere makes me want to play jazz and not classical. I slept that afternoon and then went to see a friend of Lukas'. For the first hour and a half or so that I was there I was a bit uncomfortable. I couldn't understand half of what was said, so I didn't say anything myself. Finally someone decided to make the effort to talk to me, but she didn't feel comfortable speaking English, so we spoke German. At this point, I realized that I can, in fact, speak German. Afterwards, another friend of Lukas' summoned the courage to speak English to me (with the help of a couple beers :P). We talked about some random things and somehow got on to the topic that I was a vocalist. The evening ended with me singing "Strike the Viol" and "Der Vogelfänger bin ich ja". I went back to the base and to bed. This morning I woke up a litter later, ate breakfast, and then figured out the changes to "I've Got You Under my Skin". Afterwards, we went to the swimming, at which I didn't swim, but decided to read a bit of This Side of Paradise. THen we came home, I practice my voice, and am now updating. Tonight we are going to a birthday party for a girl named Margarita.
Viel Spass ^_^

Greetings all; cuile ná mára.

I've decided to start using the blog as a way of posting my capital-p Progress in th grea country of Germany. I arrived yesterday morning at 9:00, slept for 12:00 to 6:00, ate, and then went to a legitimate German Club, were I discovered that beer is highly overrated, that German people are not as reserved as many would have one think, that bourbon is really harsh but good anyway, and that everyone speaks English sooooo much better than I speak German. They could even speak it when they were completely smashed. We got home at 12:30. I woke up this morning at six, oddly enough, and am presently in an almost vacant house as Herr Gotthardt went to work and Frau Gotthardt went to the baker... yes, a baker, to get bread for breakfast. I'll post fairly regularly here. Please comment.

I can fucking transpose. I sat down at the piano and transposed "Russian Christmas Music", which I know in C, to F. I know its only adding a flat, but still, I'm fucking amazing. I finished the fourth movement of my Requiem ("Libra Me") and it ends on a I (F) chord with Principle Soprano I hitting an f3 and with Section Bass on a [great] F. It's going to shake the audience to their core, especially if I can find Basses who can actually sing that low with power. Zartman said that he might read through my arrangement of "Blue Collar Man" tommorow, so, Jawohl. I don't know what the world would be without music; it's my whole bloody life. Whenever I feel like shit, I sit at the piano and pound out a minor progression. It hold my sanity. Of course, one day I will tragically become deaf and, much like Beethoven, I will probably lose my mind, except I'll probably be worse. I really don't want to think about what I would do if that happened. Anyway, enough of the self-depression; I have a bloody accomplishment. Whaa-haa!!!

I'm currently being an insomniac at Stephanie's house. Sadie's was okay. I started a work for symphony orchestra and, lo and behold, it's a symphony. I started the third movement. Enjoy life.

Hallo alle.

Not much happened today, except we're not doing the New World Symphony. I'm MAD!!!! That was the best piece in our folder. I can't believe that three people caused us all to lose that great piece. It was so awesome and had a fun trumpet part and the Euphonium (or Dysphonium) section just freakin' sucks at life. I HATE THE BARITONES. NOBODY LIKES THEM. THEY'RE AMORAL. THEY'RE HORRIBLE PEOPLE. THEY'RE GOING TO HELL!!! And not just to any part of hell, but the the very pit with satan and Judas Iscariot. They will be ass-raped day and night with satan's feet and forced to eat Chicken McNuggets from McDonald's for the REST OF ETERNITY (I hate those things).

Anywho, vielleicht Z would play my tone poem instead. I finished the Overture to my opera last night. It's fun. The beginning is very Russian sounding, but the end sounds like Mozart. I learned how to use humour notes (e.g. C# in the key of C) with the V chord (the melody has to be the fifth and is a half step flat and resolves to the proper fifth). Now I just have to learn how to use the I chord humour note. Anyway, gibt's nicht viele andere Dingen, daüber ich sprechen kann. Auf wiederlesen.

You won't be seein' me. I'll be gone all day.
We're playing "Catch as Catch Can", "Blues für Elise", "I've Got you Under my Skin", and "Sing, sing, sing". Were rehearsed with Jazz I today. Val W. was their vocalist, so I was sure to give her an evil stare during her song. I wiped a few notes off of me when she tried to sing high. I'm thinking of writing a tone poem about summer weather. I finally got the chance to practice the organ. "Toccata et Fuga" in d minor is really fun. ^_^ May God send you all sturdy donkeys. Namárie.

Greetings all.

To those who sat at the table at lunch today, I'm sorry that I was a bit of an ass. I finished the first movement of my string quartet and tommorow, Didi and I are going to sing/play my Oratorino for English class. While I was sweeping out the bathrooms, I got compliment for my singing by some guy and we ended up talk about the workings of the voice for about 10 minutes after my shift. I'm going in early to practice "Mannin Veen" tomorrow on the organ. I'm thinking of practicing a bunch of music and putting on a Piano/Organ Recital of thine truly. Here is my repitoire:

Piano

Rondo "Alla Turca" (from Sonata in A; I can't find the Köchil number) - Mozart
Prelude No. 20 in c minor - Chopin
Mvt. I (Adagio Sostenuto) from Sonata Op. 27 No. 2 "Moonlight" - Beethoven
possibly Mvts. III & IV from Symphony No. 5 - Beethoven
Suite in a minor - Bach

Organ
Little Fugue in g minor, BWV.578 - Bach
Toccata and Fugue in d minor, BWV. 565 - Bach

Voice
Caro Mio Ben - Giordani
Tu Lo Sai - Torelli
My Life Closed Twice before its Close - Gluntz
